| How long does it take to make changes to my website? |
Once we have received the information on what you would like changed on your site, we will reply to you with an expected time of completion. Typically, this is 5-7 business days from the time received, but can take longer depending on the nature of the request. |
| I want to have you add images to my website, but do not know how to get them to you? |
If you have the images in a digital format (.jpg or .gif) you can email them to Scott. We ask that you include in your email, your business name, city, and details about where you would like the images to go. We will let you know when it is received. If you have images which need to be scanned, you can mail them to us at:

| How do I set up my email address so that I can use my domain name in my email? |
We will host up to 10 email addresses for each Impact client's domain name. Please call us 877-932-7496 and we can begin the process over the phone with you. One thought to think about in advance of the call is how would you like to access your email? The two options are web based email like Yahoo or through your Internet Service Provider (AOL, Earthlink, various local ISP's) or would you rather use a program like Outlook or Eudora? |
| I am not sure who to ask for when I call about the Impact Program? |
When you call 877-932-7496 our receptionist can either place you with someone to handle your specific question or you can ask for Scott Farnsworth, Director of Operations and can direct you to the best person to handle your given request. |
| I am currently paying a company to host my website. Can I stop paying them and have you host my site? |
Yes, but before you cancel your current site, please contact us at 877-932-7496 so we can get all of the details set up on our end before the domain is transferred. This will reduce the possibility of losing emails that may be coming to existing email addresses. If you have the access to control the DNS information on your website, this process can be completed in a few days, if you don't, then it may take more time. Expected completion times will be established at the time of the discussion based on your circumstances. |
| I do not have a logo for my company, can you design one? |
Our team can put together a basic logo for your business. If you are looking for more graphical work to be done with your logo, you can either contract out for someone local to develop a logo, or we can provide you with some Graphic Designers whom we have heard positive feedback on. As your logo is such an important part of your branding we recommend that you have a well developed logo that you can use in all of your advertising whether it is through your website or in other print/visual advertising. |
| In order to make changes to my Impact website, do I need to know HTML? |
No. Your Impact website can be changed or added to by using either plain text as if you are typing an email, or by using HTML if you feel comfortable using that. The use of HTML can be more graphically appealing, but if keeping a site current means that you need to use plain text to do so you will see that the results will be more favorable for having current information over graphical designs. |
| If I am not in one location all the time, can I edit my website? |
The website editor is an Internet based access site. You do not need any programs to be loaded on your computer outside of having Internet access. Please click here to find our address to edit your website. If you are going to be using more than one computer to do this, we recommend that you write down the address of this page as well as the user name and password so that you can edit your site from any Internet access computer. |
| How do I get more traffic to my website? |
When we presented the Impact Program to you everything described the program as a branding campaign. With that in mind, we do not expect that your individual Internet statistics will be too high without some influence from you. Consider your website to be like any other aspect of your business, if you don't give it any attention, it won't get any attention. With the program we will purchase a domain name for you. If you provide your current and prospective customers/clients with your domain name, that is one of the first steps. In addition, having your email address with your domain name (name@yourbusiness.com) will also alert your clients/customers about the presence of your website. Please refer to the " Marketing Tips" page for other ways of marketing your website. |
| How come I have not seen my banner? |
The banners rotate on an even basis through all of the Impact clients equally. They are found on each of the radio station websites and UncleWebster. If you are accessing the website during peak hours and you are refreshing the page to view a certain banner, you may see it, or the other visitors may be seeing it. Although someone may have the banner on their screen if the rotation goes through it will still re-appear. Example: If there are 45 Impact clients, then your banner will appear every 44th time a page is viewed across the radio stations and UncleWebster. The only place that banners are not displayed are on each of your websites. |
| When I did a search using the bright yellow box for my business I did not find mine. |
Please email the keyword you used to us via email or call 877-932-7496 and ask to speak with Scott so we can review the keywords you currently have in your site and add the word or phrase you were using to find your business. Although there is no limit to this, we typically try not to exceed 30 keywords so that we can reference each word in your site to improve your value to the national search engines. |
| I am considering using an Internet marketing company to buy an email list, what do you recommend? |
Proceed SLOWLY! If your domain is referenced in a spam and is reported back to us we are required by the terms of our hosting agreement to suspend your website until a full review is conducted. Proof has to be provided that the recipient either filled out a request for more email information, or that you have conducted business with this person in the past. Here is the best solution to avoid any interruption in your service:
- The best list to email is one that your business has collected through current customers, the contact us form on your website, or opt-in sign up form your business had at some trade show or community event.
- Although most of the email marketing companies claim to be using a list of email addresses which have all opted in, this is not the case. If the result of the inquiry is that the email was sent through one of these services, we will have not choice but to terminate the hosting of this domain name.

| How often can I change my banners? |
We ask that you allow a banner 3 months to be able to have the appropriate branding affect that this program is designed to achieve. However, if there are details in this banner that contains inaccurate information, we will make those changes within 48 hours of the request. |
| How many times will you make changes to my website? |
Beyond the original development of the website, we will make up to six changes to your website throughout the course of the year. In addition, you too can make changes to your site anytime you feel the need through the website editor. For details on how to do this, click here.

| I received an email or letter letting me know it's time to renew my domain name, what should I do? |
Call us. We send out Domain Name renewal email reminders with 90, 60, 30 and 5 days remaining until your domain name expires - as well as place phone calls to you with 30 days or so before domain expiration. There are many companies out there who will attempt to trick you in to transferring to their service by sending an official looking letter letting you know that you risk losing your domain name if you do not renew right away. Please call us if you have a question about your domain name renewal, we'll be happy to make sure the renewal notification is genuine. |
